What is Fast Futures?

The Fast Futures programme is a national, joint initiative with Avado and leading global businesses, providing essential real-word skills to education leavers aged 18-22.

With a focus on recruiting candidates from a diverse background, we aim to provide 1000 young people from all walks of life, with a free12-week training course of vital tech and digital business skills, that helps bridge the gap between education and full-time employment.

 

Why is this important?

500k plus young people are due to leave education this year, and during an international pandemic which is highly likely to have an impact on job prospects, particularly with the cancellations of many internships and apprenticeship programmes.

At the same time, the UK is also experiencing a shortage of digital and tech skills that businesses need to compete on the international stage.

This programme will equip you with the business skills UK organisations need to get you job ready, and help to limit the impact of COVID-19 on the UK economy.

What skills will you develop?

Our partners have helped us develop a 12-week programme based on the skills that they have identified are in shortage. The programme consists of modules focused on:

  1. Technology and Data
  2. Fundaments of Marketing
  3. Empowering Productive Teams
  4. Fundaments of Finance
  5. Agile Working

What do you get?

Our aim is to equip you with the real-life business skills employers are looking for. In addition to this, you will receive:

  3. Support from Employer mentors for additional personal development
